Senior / Lead AWS Cloud Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Strategy

• Design and implement scalable, cost-efficient, and secure

  cloud architectures

  for web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Lead

  solution architecture

  for new projects including

  compute, storage, networking, and data services

  .
• Define and document architectural patterns and cloud best practices across the organization.
• Guide cloud modernization and migration efforts, including monolith-to-microservices transitions and cloud-native application design.

Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure using

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  tools such as

  Terraform

  or

  AWS CloudFormation

  .
• Set up and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  , containerized deployments (Docker), and orchestration (ECS, EKS, etc.).
• Implement

  monitoring, alerting, and logging

  using

  AWS CloudWatch

  ,

  SonarQube

  , and other observability tools.
• Manage

  secret storage

  , configuration, and access controls using

  AWS Secrets Manager

  , Parameter Store, and IAM.

Data & Storage Architecture

• Architect and manage scalable data pipelines and storage solutions using

  Glue

  ,

  DynamoDB

  ,

  RDS

  , and

  Data Lake

  .
• Define data governance, retention, and lifecycle policies for structured and unstructured data.
• Optimize access, querying, and integration of datasets across cloud-native services.

Security & Networking

• Enforce secure access controls,

  VPC architecture

  ,

  network segmentation

  , and

  firewall rules

  .
• Implement and monitor

  cloud security best practices

  , identity management (IAM roles and policies), encryption at rest/in transit, and compliance standards.
• Review and enforce application and infrastructure security, threat detection, and vulnerability management.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps roles, with at least 5 years on

  AWS

  .
• Deep hands-on experience with:

• Compute

  : EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS

• Storage

  : S3, EFS, Glacier

• Data

  : Athena, Glue, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift

• Networking

  : VPC, Route 53, API Gateway, Load Balancers (ALB/NLB)

• Security

  : IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, GuardDuty

• DevOps

  : CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, SonarQube
• Strong understanding of

  web/mobile architecture

  , API hosting, application scaling, and mobile backend services.
• Proficient in

  Terraform

  CloudFormation

  , or other infrastructure automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications such as

  AWS Solutions Architect – Professional

  DevOps Engineer

• Familiarity with container platforms (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless services.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-account enterprise architectures.
• Experience integrating with frontend and mobile engineering teams for full-stack deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
