As we scale our digital offerings, we are seeking a dynamic Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTPO) to lead the next phase of our tech and product transformation.

Role Overview

As the CTPO, you will own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and execution of the bank’s digital technology and product roadmap. You will lead engineering, product management, and digital innovation efforts to create inclusive, customer-centric banking experiences for rural India. This is a key leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with product acumen and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Define and lead the long-term technology vision, architecture, and infrastructure for the bank.
• Oversee development and scaling of the bank’s digital platform built on

  Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS

  .
• Establish strong DevSecOps and cloud-native practices to enhance platform reliability, security, and performance.
• Drive system modernization, legacy migration, and architecture scalability in line with regulatory norms and rural user needs.

Product Strategy & Execution

• Translate rural customer insights and banking needs into scalable, simple, and secure digital products.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle—from ideation to design, development, launch, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate closely with business, risk, compliance, and customer teams to ensure alignment with market and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including engineering, product, data, and IT operations.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and agile team culture.
• Collaborate with external partners, fintech vendors, and regulators to advance the bank’s digital ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in technology and product leadership roles, ideally in BFSI, fintech, or digital banking.
• Deep expertise in

  Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, AWS, API-first systems, and cloud-native solutions

  .
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance platforms for financial services.
• Strong understanding of rural customer needs and ability to design simple, intuitive, and accessible digital products.

Leadership & Strategic Capabilities

• Experience in building and leading high-performing engineering and product teams.
• Ability to align technology with business goals and drive measurable outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including with regulatory bodies like RBI.

Preferred

• Experience working with or for a

  Small Finance Bank, NBFC, cooperative bank, or rural-focused fintech

  .
• Exposure to digital lending, financial inclusion products, agent-based banking, or vernacular UX/UI.
