Rapsap is a modern hybrid superstore + quick commerce brand built on the pillars of hygiene, trust, and convenience. We operate physical stores with integrated online ordering, quick delivery, pharmacy, café, and loyalty programs.We are now scaling our technology platform and are looking for a CTO to take complete ownership of tech strategy, execution, and delivery.

Role Overview

The CTO will be responsible for end-to-end technology ownership across all Rapsap platforms. This includes product architecture, engineering execution, integrations, infrastructure, security, vendor management, and team building.This is a hands-on leadership role, not advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Technology OwnershipOwn the entire tech stack:Customer app (iOS & Android)Packer & delivery appsAdmin/CMS dashboardIntegrations (POS, payment gateways, CRM, WhatsApp, analytics)Define and maintain scalable, reliable system architectureEnsure high uptime, performance, and security

Product & Execution

Work closely with founders on:Product roadmapFeature prioritizationSpeed vs stability decisionsTranslate business requirements into technical executionEnsure timely releases, bug fixes, and performance improvements

Team & Vendor Management

Lead, hire and manage:In-house developers (mobile, backend, frontend)External vendors and agenciesBuild a lean, high-impact tech team over timeSet clear KPIs, delivery timelines, and accountability

Infrastructure & Integrations

Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)Own DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and backupsLead integrations with:POS systemsPayment gatewaysCRM & customer support toolsMessaging platforms (WhatsApp, SMS, push notifications)

Governance & Security

Ensure data security, access control, and complianceOwn app store policies, releases, and approvalsMaintain documentation, SOPs, and tech audits

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience in:Backend systems (Node.js / Python / Java preferred)Mobile apps (Flutter / React Native / native)Databases & APIsExperience scaling consumer-facing appsProven ability to manage real-time systemsStartup execution mindset (speed + ownership)Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders

Good to Have

Experience in retail, e-commerce, or quick commerceExposure to POS or inventory systemsPrior experience as CTO / Head of Engineering / Tech Lead at a startupFamiliarity with AI integrations & automation tools
