Role Summary
The role will be responsible to lead, direct and manage the organization by formulating business strategies that will bring in immediate and medium term impact on the organization and also for the overall manufacturing operations of the business covering production, man and machinery performance, cost controls, quality, supply and related logistics
Roles & responsibilities
Business Operations and Factory Management
- Builds focused operations plan for multiple locations/ expansion and new locations to drive the 5 year plan and vision set by the Lathia Group
- Publishes to the Board of Directors monthly/ weekly and daily plans in sync with the 5 year plan; provides leadership and management to the Operations Team for the delivery of manufacturing, quality, supply chain and the delivery function of the business
- Designs & implements business continuity and risk mitigation plans
- Collaborates with the Board of Directors to develop operational infrastructure
- Overseeing & tracking the daily operations of the Operations and the team
- Manages the production processes and provides insights/ priorities based on equipment efficiency, production schedules, costs and materials requirements
- Provides quick responses to client based on client requirements
- Ensures manufacturing performance and quality goals are met
- Analyses market and technology demands to plan and assess the feasibility of current, new or modified product introduction and improve efficiency of processes
Business Development
- Drives the strategic planning & business development by cultivating partnerships, commercial relationships & identifying new markets for products & services
- Acts as lead ""client-care officer"" through direct contact with every client and partner; represents the organization with clients, investors, and business partners
- Conducts business development, including overseeing customer relations for both international and domestic clientele, and developing and negotiating commercial contracts in discussion with the Board of Directors
- Continuously evaluates the business development prospects and works with the Sales team to develop them
Financial Budgets
- Prepares and presents the budgets for the Financial year along with the Finance and Accounts team and sets cost control and cost reduction targets
- Continuously analyses & interprets the financial records of the operations team
- Verifies the financial reports covering profit & loss statements of the organization & proposes steps to push the organization in an upward direction i.e. towards increased profit
- Assists as required in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the organization to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives
- Ensures that team is aware of the budgets and works to manage with optimal utilization of resources
Shared Services Governance
- Ensures there is seamless coordination and interaction between the shared services units such as Engineering, Quality, Internal Audits to ensure there is timely delivery of customer requirements meeting the quality standards
- Implements standard operating procedures to ensure there is a handshake and proactive communication across internal departments and shared services
- Monitors the HR, Finance, IT and legal aspects of the business and takes necessary action to align outputs to meet business goals
Organization Culture and Performance
- Establishes and promotes policies that will align to the organization culture and vision in discussion with the Board of directors
- Drives regular setting of milestones, tasks and targets for the team in line to achieve the business objectives
- Monitors and provides guidance to the team to meet business objectives
- Ensures there is regular training and skill development plans running across the organization to increase the capability of teams
- Facilitates open and proactive interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Builds a Business Intelligence driven approach
Qualification
Span Of Experience
Essential: BE/ BTech in Mechanical/ Production Engineering
Desirable: MBA
Atleast 15 years of experience handling business operations, Production, Sales, Supply chain in a Manufacturing Industry with atleast 5 years as head of Plant operations
