I. Basic Mission To provide leadership and direction to the financial function of the group. To head the financial planning & management of the Sahu Group India consisting of automobile dealership, manufacturing, hospitality, entertainment and real estate business. II. Main responsibilities Business Planning, BU Finance - Control Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy aligned with its business vision and growth objectives. Partner with business heads to drive profitability, cost efficiency, and sustainable financial performance across all verticals. Provide strategic insights for business expansion, diversification, and restructuring decisions. Process ownership for business planning exercise. Validate the business and strategic plans, development of budgets, monitor performance against budget and credit policies to ensure budgetary control, Financial Planning and Performance Management Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring across group companies. Implement a group-level performance dashboard and KPIs for continuous tracking of business unit results. Ensure effective working capital management and optimize cash flows across businesses with different capital cycles. Forecast requirement of funds based not only on the company's past performance but on internal and external factors that may affect revenue and expenses, for cash flow, long and short-term requirements. Planning and MIS, Treasury & Taxation, IT Automation, Risk Management, Internal Controls & Audits and back office Shared Accounting Services management Reporting and Financial Data Management Develop Framework on Management reporting systems-MIS (ERP based dashboard) Return on investment (ROI). Strategic focus on ensuring a strong return on investment (ROI) for all the business lines. Consolidation of Accounts (Preparing P&L and Balance Sheet) for each entity and consolidated for the group companies BU-wise variance Analysis between Budget vs Plan vs Actuals (Fixed & Variable Costs, Expenses, Logistics & Transportation, Bank Charges, Travel, Over Heads, Salaries & Wages, Power & Utilities, Marketing etc) Outcome of (internal and external) Audits and Reviews with action plan & timelines Relations with, and contribution to, wider Group/plant financial team in achieving overall goals etc. Treasury, Funding, and Capital Structure Oversee the group’s treasury operations, liquidity management, and capital allocation. Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions for fundraising, debt restructuring, and project financing. Optimize the capital structure to balance growth aspirations with financial prudence. Financial Control, Audit, and Compliance Formulate policy on the legal exposure/standing of the company. Establish a robust financial governance framework, ensuring transparency and accountability across all entities. Oversee statutory compliance, internal audits, and risk management processes in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards. Ensure timely closure of financial statements, audits, and reporting to the Board and regulators. Establish strong internal controls to safeguard group assets and prevent financial irregularities. Implement policies on fiscal controls, risk management and governance to ensure discipline and integrity. Ensure statutory compliance against all requirements – financial, tax, banking etc., Ensure updating of accounting and financial policies so that practices are aligned with statutory requirements. Business-Specific Financial Leadership (Cost Analysis, ROI Mindset) Sunny Motors : Optimize inventory funding, manage OEM credit terms, and enhance dealership profitability. Provide inputs on pricing/costing for almost every transaction, to facilitate a sell or no sell decision by operations and costing. Gemini Continental : Monitor revenue per available room (RevPAR), cost control, and asset utilization efficiency. Dayspring : Drive margin improvement through cost optimization, procurement efficiency, sales returns, and other production analytics. Develop pricing model to ensure product profitability. Find ways and means of reducing costs. Real Estate : Manage project feasibility, funding, and cash flow across development and leasing portfolios. Technology and Digital Transformation (Productivity Mapping) Implement advanced financial systems (ERP, BI tools) for integrated reporting and analytics. Drive automation in financial processes and strengthen data-driven decision-making across the group. Mapping each KPI with maximum yield/output New Projects The CFO is responsible for the financial assessment of capital projects, possible business acquisitions and other investment options. Develop and implement Business wide /plant specific financial strategy, plan priorities in line with plant/Group strategies and priorities. Monitoring Business/plant performance against agreed plans, targets and budgets, working with the Board and leadership team to identify and take timely and appropriate action to address performance issues and/or capitalize on opportunities arising. Alignment between Group/plant Business processes, practices, budgets & accounts. Legislative and Regulatory Compliance, including Statutory reporting. Funding Responsible for the company's liquidity, debt and assets. That includes any investments the company may have, whether physical assets, such as buildings and equipment, or financial investments. Accountable for negotiating and establishing a credit line for working capital, and arranging long term and short-term loans with banks with minimum interest. Accountable for efficient management of working capital to ensure the maintenance of suitable cash flow levels Accountable for reserve resource utilization so as to yield maximum return. Build relationships with bankers etc. to facilitate funding Investor Relations and External Stakeholder Management Represent the group to investors, analysts, and financial institutions. Support potential IPOs, joint ventures, or mergers and acquisitions through financial modelling and due diligence. Maintain Sahu Group’s financial credibility and reputation in the marketplace. Insurance Ensures all fixed and current assets are insured, within budgeted costs. III. Relationships Hierarchic: The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Managing Director and the Board the Company. IV. Key Performance Factors Core Competencies Thorough understanding of GAAP, IFRA, Accounting Methods & Laws. Should be good with banking & treasury management, fund & WC Management Should be good with Governance, Risk Management Indian Company Law, RBI NBFC Regulations, SEBI regulations and Exchange Bye Laws Should have a good knowledge of Exchanges, Depositories, Regulators and Institutions.
