The roles and responsibilities of a Chartered Accountant (CA) specializing in Business Development within the solar and wind energy sector typically include: *Financial Analysis and Modeling:*  Conducting in-depth financial analysis and creating financial models to assess the viability and profitability of potential projects.  Preparing detailed business cases and financial projections for new projects and business opportunities. *Market Research and Opportunity Identification* :  Performing market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential areas for expansion within the solar and wind energy sectors.  Analyzing competitive landscapes and identifying strategic partners or acquisition targets. *Due Diligence and Risk Assessment:*  Conducting due diligence on potential projects, investments, and partnerships.  Assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Investment and Funding:  Identifying and securing funding sources for new projects, including equity, debt, grants, and other financing options.  Preparing investment proposals and presentations to attract investors and secure funding.  Negotiating terms with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
