Job Description

Main responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

● Develop and execute long-term business strategy aligned with vision and

OEM guidelines.

● Expand dealership footprint (sales outlets, service centers) as per network

development plan.

● Drive digital transformation (online booking, CRM, connected services) to enhance

customer experience.

Sales & Marketing

● Achieve sales targets for vehicle range, accessories, used cars (U

Trust), and value-added products.

● Ensure implementation of marketing campaigns and brand guidelines at all

touchpoints.

● Monitor dealer-level pricing, inventory management, and sales processes for

compliance with OEM standards.

After-Sales & Service Operations

● Oversee service operations to ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient service

delivery.

● Drive parts and service revenues while maintaining strict quality, safety, and

process compliance.

● Ensure Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Service Quality Index (SQI) targets

are consistently achieved.

Financial & Business Performance

● Lead financial planning, budgeting, and P&L management across all dealerships.

● Monitor key metrics: sales volume, gross margin, service revenue, F&I income,

inventory turnover, warranty claims.

● Implement cost controls while sustaining operational efficiency.

People & Culture

● Lead, coach, and mentor dealership leadership teams across sales, service,

marketing, and support functions.

● Build a customer-first culture rooted values: Respect for People and

Continuous Improvement.

● Ensure robust training and certification for all staff under standards.

OEM & Stakeholder Management

● Maintain close coordination for business reviews,

audits, and compliance.

● Ensure full adherence to dealership agreements, standards, and reporting

requirements.

● Build strong relationships with banks/NBFCs for auto loans, insurance partners, and

local communities.

Governance & Compliance

● Ensure compliance with Indian laws (labor, tax, GST, safety, environmental norms).

● Implement strong systems for internal audit, financial discipline, and risk

management.

● Uphold ethical and governance standards at all dealership locations.


III. Key Skills & Competencies

● Strong leadership with proven P&L responsibility.

● Deep knowledge of the Indian automotive market and dealership operations.

● Strong relationship management with OEMs, financial institutions, and stakeholders.

● Data-driven, process-oriented mindset with focus on customer satisfaction.

● Ability to drive change and continuous improvement (Genba, Kaizen, mindset


IV. Qualifications & Experience

● MBA or equivalent degree in Business/Retail Management preferred.

● 18–20 years of experience in automotive retail, with at least 5 years in senior

leadership (CEO/COO/Business Head).

● Experience in dealerships or other top global automotive brands is highly

desirable.

● Proven track record of achieving sales, service, and profitability goals in a

multi-location dealership network.

● Understanding of automobile markets and competitor analysis
