The Central Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations across multiple cities. This role ensures smooth inventory management, efficient product onboarding, and adherence to company-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic and operational leader, supporting city directors, mitigating losses, and resolving high-level operational challenges.
Manage and streamline warehouse operations across all city locations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with company standards.
- Oversee daily operations across all city warehouses
- Ensure standardized processes across locations
- Implement and monitor SOPs & % adherence to SOPs
- Warehouse productivity (orders/hour or shipments/hour)
- Order fulfillment accuracy
Monitor and enhance stock control procedures, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing shrinkage, theft, and misplacement.
- Maintain accurate and real-time inventory records
- Oversee inventory reconciliation across cities
- Monitor slow-moving and dead stock & Inventory accuracy, rate (>98%)
- Shrinkage/loss % & - Inventory turnover ratio
- Oversee the standardized onboarding of new products across warehouses, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and storage
- Track and analyze operational KPIs across all warehouses; implement improvements based on performance data.
Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure operational compliance, accuracy in reporting, and adherence to internal controls
- Conduct scheduled and surprise audits
- Verify compliance with safety, security, and operational standards
- Cross-check internal reports & Number of audits conducted vs. planned
- Compliance rate (%) & Audit discrepancy closure TAT
- Coordinate with city directors for operational escalations
- Lead training programs for operational excellence & - Employee performance and retention
- Act as the final escalation point for Warehouse related issues beyond scope of city directors, inculding major losses, critical system failures or team mis management. & - Escalation resolution TAT
-Identify inefficiencies and develop strategies to enhance warehouse workflows,
-labour productivity, and cost-effectiveness, Support and coach warehouse managers,
-Fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure operational alignment and resolve any supply chain bottleneck
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of experience in multi-location warehouse or logistics management.
Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse systems, and KPI management.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-pressure escalations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP tools, and Microsoft Excel.
