Business Intelligence Analyst

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and validate reporting requirements from stakeholders.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple enterprise sources (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, SAP HANA, APIs, Salesforce).
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and validity of analyses.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, applying best practices in visualization and storytelling.
• Use advanced SQL for data manipulation, query optimization, and report automation.
• Integrate and analyze Salesforce data to create comprehensive performance and sales reports.
• Automate reporting workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, or Python to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Senior BI Analysts and BI Leaders to clarify requirements, align deliverables, and meet timelines.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to diverse audiences, tailoring messages to stakeholder needs.
• Support data governance by identifying and correcting data quality issues.
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Contribute to building and sustaining the Cummins leadership culture by demonstrating Cummins Leadership Behaviors.

Experience

• Required:
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or data engineering roles.
• Experience analyzing large datasets and delivering accurate, actionable insights.
• Experience connecting to and integrating multiple data sources.
• Preferred:
• Experience in a customer-focused or service-oriented organization.
• Experience automating reports using Power Automate, Power Apps, or Python.
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field; or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of data analytics, data governance, and business intelligence concepts.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data solutions.
