Business Development Manager

Role & responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify new business opportunities in assigned territories.
  
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partners (distributors, dealers, stockists).
  
• Regular field visits to meet contractors, plumbers, builders, project managers, and architects.
  
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations at customer sites.
  

Marketing & Promotion

• Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, product promotions, and brand-building activities.
  
• Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events.
  
• Gather market intelligence on competitors' products, pricing, and strategies.
  
• Work closely with the marketing team for product positioning, pricing, and promotional materials.
  

Channel & Project Sales

• Appoint and manage a network of dealers and distributors.
  
• Coordinate with project sales teams for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  
• Follow up on leads from architects, consultants, and procurement departments.
  

Product Knowledge & Training

• Stay updated on product features, technical specifications, and applications.
  
• Conduct training sessions for internal sales teams and channel partners.
  
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and provide after-sales support.
  

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 510 years of relevant sales and marketing experience in building materials or chemicals.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel extensively.
