The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing the overall B2B sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role plays a critical part in achieving the company's sales objectives and enhancing its market presence.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

o   Develop and implement a comprehensive B2B sales strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

o   Define sales targets, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.


2. Revenue Growth and Target Achievement:

o   Set ambitious revenue and sales growth targets for the B2B segment.

o   Monitor and analyse sales performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed.

o   Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments.


3. Team Leadership:

o   Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-caliber B2B sales team.

o   Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to drive individual and collective success.

o   Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.


4. Sales Operations:

o   Oversee and Lead with all B2B sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and client acquisition.

o   Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.

o   Implement and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and tools to maximize efficiency and productivity.




5. Client Relationship Management:

o   Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key B2B clients and strategic partners.

o   Act as a point of escalation for resolving complex client issues and ensuring client satisfaction.

o   Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding existing client relationships.

6. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

o   Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.

o   Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and potential threats.

o   Adjust sales strategies based on market dynamics and emerging opportunities.


7. Sales Reporting and Analysis:

o   Provide regular reports and updates on B2B sales performance to the Managing Director.

o   Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.


Preferred candidate profile

●       Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

●       Proven experience in B2B sales leadership, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

●       Ability to deliver presentations to Industrial Gatherings.

●       Strong leadership and team management skills.

●       Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

●       Analytical mind-set with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.

●       Experience in business development in the field of Special Purpose Machines, Engineering, Automobile, Automation, Heavy Industries, Government tenders etc is preferred.

●       Network and contacts with related client base is desirable.

●       Proven track record of setting and meeting annual sales targets (turn over).


UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical,Engineering, B.Tech/B.E. in Automobile, Production/Industrial, Mechanical,

PG: MBA/PGDM in Any Specialization
