ROLE OVERVIEW


Business Development Manager (BDM)

The role involves extensive fieldwork, including visiting colleges, meeting Principals and HoDs, engaging with employers, and developing new partnerships to drive course admissions, internships, and placement opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills in English and Telugu, a proven track record in education or skilling business development, and the ability to operate independently with measurable outcomes.


RESPONSIBILITIES


1. College & Institutional Partnerships

  • Visit degree colleges, junior colleges, and training institutes to introduce CareerMint’s programmes.
  • Build strong relationships with principals, HoDs, and placement officers to generate student leads.
  • Conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and career talks to drive enrolments.
  • Coordinate MoUs, partnership events, and on-campus activities.

2. Corporate & Employer Engagement

  • Identify and engage CA firms, SMEs, digital marketing agencies, corporates and any other relevant entities for internship and placement partnerships.
  • Schedule meetings with HR heads and business owners to align hiring needs with CareerMint’s trained talent pool.
  • Support placement drives and coordinate student interviews with employers.

3. Regional Expansion & Outreach

  • Identify new markets and institutions for expansion beyond core regions.
  • Travel extensively to build relationships and conduct outreach activities.
  • Build local networks in all geographies for sustained lead generation and employer engagement.

4. Admissions & Reporting

  • Support the admissions team with qualified leads from field outreach.
  • Track outreach efforts, maintain a lead database, and report weekly progress.
  • Share insights from field interactions to strengthen marketing and placement strategies.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or any related discipline.

Experience

  • 3–4 years of experience in business development, institutional partnerships, or marketing
  • Prior experience in education, skilling, or staffing sectors preferred.

Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Telugu (fluency in both is essential). Fluency in Hindi is also preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across regions for outreach and partnerships.
  • High initiative, self-motivation, and ability to manage field operations independently.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets, CRM tools, and basic reporting dashboards.
