Job Description

Business Development Manager (BDM)

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, and leading the sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:1. Business Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to increase revenue.
  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to plan strategic moves.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Generate and qualify leads through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Pitch company services/products to key decision-makers.
  • Manage end-to-end client acquisition—from initial contact to closure.
  • Maintain long-term, high-value client relationships.

3. Sales Leadership

  • Set monthly/quarterly targets and ensure they are achieved.
  • Create proposals, sales presentations, and pricing negotiations.
  • Manage the sales funnel, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with marketing, operations, and delivery teams.

4. Team Coordination

  • Guide and support BDEs and sales executives.
  • Provide training and monitor team performance.
  • Help in building strategies for lead generation and conversions.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain CRM data, sales reports, and pipeline updates.
  • Present weekly/monthly business performance reports to management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or related field
  • MBA is preferred
  • 2–7+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development
  • Experience handling a team is an added advantage
