ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a performance-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This role is for someone who can own the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion and nurture client relationships while ensuring alignment between client expectations and service execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic research, outreach, and networking.
- Sales Funnel Management: Build and manage a strong pipeline of potential clients, track progress, and close deals to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Client Meetings & Pitching: Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with leads. Confidently present the company’s services, past work, and capabilities.
- Client Onboarding: Ensure smooth handover of new clients to the operations team with clear documentation and briefing.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to drive retention and upselling opportunities.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with the operations and creative teams to monitor project execution and ensure deliverables align with client expectations.
- Project Awareness: Stay updated with ongoing projects, case studies, and the agency’s work portfolio to pitch relevant services.
- Business Strategy Contribution: Contribute to BD strategy, market positioning, and identify service gaps or trends that can unlock growth.
- Strategic Input on Marketing Initiatives: Actively collaborate on HMLC’s marketing activities aimed at sales and lead generation. Share insights, feedback, and suggestions to optimize campaign effectiveness and improve lead quality.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience in business development. Relevant experience in a creative agency, consultancy, or luxury-focused organization would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling and solution-based approaches.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong network and knowledge of the luxury, design, or lifestyle domain (preferred).
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual.
- Prior experience working with cross-functional teams across creative, marketing, or strategy will be a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, pitch decks, and proposal creation.
- Willingness to travel for high-value meetings when needed.
