The ideal candidate should be willing to work in a startup environment and take up the challenges. Should be capable of finding new strategies to attract new customers and boosting the business of the company. To implement strategic marketing and business development strategy. Some of the major tasks are Identifying and qualifying business opportunities, Understanding the needs of the customer and providing services as per their needs or requirements, collaborating with management on sales goals, building strategies for increasing the sales of the company and creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients. Implement the marketing and Business Development strategy. Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics. Ability to develop skills and business knowledge to grow into a Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Business Development and Sales

  • Management of the sales cycle from initial enquiry, proposal writing, negotiation, and completion
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with client through closing process
  • Meeting all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
  • Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities with strategies
  • Managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities
  • Actively engage new customers through telecalls, networking and general business development activity
  • Taking responsibility for generating sales from company’s various communication channels
  • Representing company in face-to-face meetings with key customers
  • Ensuring product knowledge is up to date
  • Ensuring all leads and updates are UpToDate in our CRM and implement procedures to ensure maximum use of this data

Marketing

  • Manage the execution of all marketing campaigns, from initial concept, through creation, delivery, and review.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals
  • Account management of company’s customer base
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Plan and implement initiatives to increase online traffic, generate leads and direct sales.
  • Generate leads through integrated campaigns, content and social marketing programs and develop collateral and take responsibility for converting them into sales
  • Writing copy for marketing campaigns (in conjunction with technical experts)
  • Ensuring that all marketing material is up to date and relevant
  • Coordinate with the Communications Team so that web content is up to date and in line with company’s branding and key messaging.
  • Plan and manage the production of content such as blogs, newsletters, infographics, and email copy.
  • Promote professional working relationships and effective communication.
  • Promote company’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of your work.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or management
  • Experience in a marketing role
  • Experience of coordinating marketing projects/campaigns
  • Knowledge of different marketing channels and the merits and drawbacks of each
  • Experience of project management with the ability to juggle deadlines and multitask
  • Working with email management software
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Able to communicate with C-Level Executives professionally and confidently
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills and CRM experience preferred
  • Knowledge of business development and sales
  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Chennai - 602024, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
