The Business Development Assistant will play a pivotal role supporting the Business Development (BD) Head in expanding our client base in regulated industries. The role centres on sales and market research, demo management and supporting essential administrative functions such as invoicing and CRM updating for our leading compliance and governance software suite.
· Conduct systematic research on target markets, including mapping and profiling organizations that may benefit from Affinis’ solutions in compliance management, governance, insider trading, and regulatory frameworks.
· Identify key contacts and decision-makers in prospective client organizations; compile, verify, and maintain contact databases.
· Assist in prospect outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels under BD Head’s guidance.
· Schedule meetings, calls, and product demonstrations for the BD Head and other sales team members.
· Prepare and send introductory materials, pitch decks, and information packets as needed.
· Support the BD Head with proposal generation, follow-ups, and document tracking.
· Coordinate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Customer Success) for smooth onboarding of new clients and continuous engagement.
· Manage the administrative tasks for invoicing, contract documentation, CRM entries, and meeting minutes.
· Stay updated on trends and regulatory changes in governance, compliance, and technology within the target segments.
· Handle confidential information professionally and comply with internal data protocols.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business or commerce.
· 2-3 Years of work experience in research, sales, business development, or administration preferred.
· Familiarity with CRM software, MS Office, and common digital research tools.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Interest in compliance, regulatory technology, or governance trends.
· Ability to pick up nuances of products and clientele.
· Exposure to the fastest-growing compliance and governance technology sector in an award-winning company.
