Job Description

Primary title:

Business Analyst

Role & Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end requirement discovery with business stakeholders—facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and document needs into structured artefacts.
Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process maps for development and operations teams.
Analyse data to validate hypotheses, produce insights and metrics using SQL and BI tools to support prioritisation and decision-making.
Coordinate with product owners, UX, QA and engineering to drive timely delivery; support Sprint planning and backlog grooming in Agile ceremonies.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), track defects, verify fixes and ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria and business value expectations.
Create and maintain clear documentation—process flows, requirement traceability matrices, release notes and stakeholder dashboards.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Proven experience in requirements elicitation and user story writing for enterprise initiatives.
Hands-on SQL for data validation, query-writing and basic data analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis, pivoting and modelling.
Experience building dashboards and visualisations in Power BI or Tableau.
Familiarity with Agile tooling—Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
Strong process mapping experience (creating workflows and swimlanes) and producing requirement artefacts.

Preferred

Exposure to CRM/ERP domain workflows or financial services projects.
Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA or formal Agile training (CSPO/PSM).
Basic scripting or analytics (Python/R) for advanced data exploration.
