About the Role:

The Brand Manager will be responsible for strengthening Mumbai Mirror’s positioning as a leading city-focused media brand. The role requires a strong balance of creativity and business acumen, with accountability for driving brand visibility, audience engagement, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on marketer with proven experience in building consumer-facing brands both offline and online.


Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop and execute strategies to build Mumbai Mirror’s brand equity in line with business objectives.
  • Drive positioning initiatives that differentiate the brand in a competitive media landscape.

Business & P&L Understanding

  • Work closely with leadership to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Support revenue teams by delivering brand-led initiatives that drive readership and monetization.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure ROI-driven marketing spends.

Campaigns & Creative Solutions

  • Conceptualize and execute integrated marketing campaigns (print, digital, outdoor, activations).
  • Bring creative thinking to solve practical business challenges.
  • Collaborate with agencies for creative development, media planning, and event execution.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Partner cross-functionally with Editorial, Sales, and Distribution to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Manage multiple projects with clear timelines, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
  • Influence and align diverse stakeholders, ensuring buy-in for brand initiatives.

Consumer Engagement

  • Design and implement initiatives that deepen audience connect and loyalty.
  • Leverage digital, social media, and offline platforms for brand storytelling and engagement.

Analytics & Insights

  • Track campaign performance, readership data, and competitor activities.
  • Present insights and recommendations to refine future strategies.


Candidate Profile

  • MBA/PG in Marketing or equivalent, with 5-6 years of post-MBA experience in brand management.
  • Strong bias for action with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Past experience in managing consumer-facing brands (media/entertainment/FMCG preferred).
  • Strong understanding of building brands across offline and online platforms.
  • Good business management skills with working knowledge of P&L levers.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to design practical, impactful brand solutions.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
