Job Description

Profile :- Branch Operation Manager

current location:-Kerala , Cochin

Experience:-4-5 years

CTC:- 4 Lacs to 5 Lacs

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth:

Develop and execute sales/marketing plans to meet targets.

Identify new markets, opportunities, and client segments.

Manage marketing budgets and promotional activities.

Sales Management:

Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to hit quotas.

Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead gen to closing deals.

Prepare competitive quotes, tenders, and sales proposals.

Monitor sales metrics, analyze data, and report to management.

Customer & Operations:

Build strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Handle escalations, resolve complaints, and ensure service excellence.

Coordinate with operations for smooth service delivery, including customs.

Manage branch P&L, control costs, and ensure timely invoicing/collections.

Market Intelligence:

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations.

Ensure competitive pricing and service offerings.

Core Skills & Profile

Proven experience in sales/management within logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping.

Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.

Customer-focused mindset with a deep understanding of logistics/supply chain.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10+ years of relevant experience in Costal freight forwarding, shipping liner agency functions, or logistics sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics services, market dynamics, customs laws, tariffs, and documentation (BL, AWB, etc.).

Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are crucial for managing a team and building client relationships.

Education: A Bachelor's degree, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field is typically required.

Attributes: The ability to work under pressure, resolve conflicts, manage budgets effectively, and drive operational efficiency are key personal attributes.
