Job Description

Role Overview: As a Transaction Manager at the bank, your primary responsibilities will include approving daily transactions for selected products, managing service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction, overseeing general reconciliation and compliance activities, supervising staff, coaching and training employees, monitoring sales referrals, ensuring branch performance through efficient customer service and operations controls, managing premises, and being responsible for health and safety guidelines. You will also be required to handle the archival portfolio for the branch. Key Responsibilities: - Approve daily transactions for selected products such as travelers cheques, cashiers orders, currency exchange, merchant services, and safe boxes, including transactions exceeding specified teller limits - Manage service delivery by observing queue time and length, taking necessary actions to capacitate serving counters, ensuring branch premises are maintained to standards, recommending workflow changes for efficiency, and improving turn around time - Monitor customer satisfaction survey ratings, net promoter score, or any other feedback ratings, ensuring continuous improvement if below benchmark, and sustaining and enhancing quality service - Perform general reconciliation and compliance activities including dual control of cash functions, control of security stationary, deliverables, reviewing processing entries, following up with customers for returned deliverables, preparing service quality and productivity management reports, rectifying internal control issues, ensuring satisfactory ratings in audits, and compliance with operational health documents - Supervise, coach, and train staff on daily workflow organization, breaks, staff levels, and performance improvement - Identify prospects for cross-selling, achieve high employee engagement and satisfaction, contribute to branch performance through referrals and efficient customer service, monitor transaction volumes, ensure transaction migration to alternate channels, and ensure adherence to banks Mis-selling & Sales Policies - Manage premises in areas of merchandising, housekeeping, and store management, uphold health and safety guidelines, and oversee archival portfolio for the branch Qualification Required: - Graduate/ Post Graduate - 1 to 4 years of overall experience - Banking knowledge with understanding of front and back office processes and procedures - Good interpersonal skills - Strong communication skills - Team-playing ability - Customer orientation and sales focus About the Company: Standard Chartered is an international bank committed to making a positive difference for clients, communities, and employees.
