🧾 Job Title: Billing Engineer 🏗️ Role Summary A Billing Engineer ensures accurate documentation and processing of all financial transactions related to construction work. They prepare bills for clients, contractors, and vendors, verify site measurements, and maintain cost records to support timely payments and budget control. 📌 Key Responsibilities Bill Preparation & Verification Prepare measurement sheets from site data and drawings Draft bills of quantities (BOQ) and item-rate bills based on tender documents Verify contractor bills through on-site measurement checks Certify bills and invoices from vendors and subcontractors Cost & Estimation Conduct rate analysis using DAR and market rates Analyze labor and machinery costs Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and reconciliation statements Documentation & Compliance Maintain billing records in ERP/SAP systems Ensure bills follow company protocols and formats Coordinate with accounts for timely payments Support audits and financial reviews with accurate documentation Coordination & Reporting Liaise with site engineers for measurement and progress updates Track project cash flow and billing milestones Generate reports for internal and client review 🎓 Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and billing software (ERP/SAP) Knowledge of construction billing norms and formats 🧠 Skills Required: Attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and numerical skills Good communication and coordination abilities Familiarity with construction drawings and site protocols
