Job Description

As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) Treasury Finance at Barclays, your role will involve supporting the delivery of technology finance solutions. Your experience in Technology and/or Finance related Transformation is critical for success in this role. Barclays is a forward-thinking organization that is actively shaping the future. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement stress testing methodologies to assess the bank's resilience under various economic scenarios - Manage the bank's financial risks and communicate financial risks to relevant stakeholders - Analyze the bank's capital position and develop capital management strategies - Orchestrate process cycles for Planning and Stress Testing FTC - Document requirements prescribed by the Regulator and Process/Data Owner - Track and report cycle progress via P&ST Steer Co, POC, Working Groups, and the workflow tool - Manage data, dataflows, and data quality from contributors - Own the control's environment, standards, and conformance Qualifications Required: - Qualified Chartered Accountant with a preference for AVPs with 2 years of experience at the same grade - Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal - Strong understanding of Treasury function and products - Strong control focus and ability to streamline processes efficiently - Strong organizational skills and structured approach - Advanced problem-solving skills - Confident and assertive with the ability to negotiate and influence constructively - Capable reviewer of meeting materials with a high level of attention to detail Some additional highly valued skills may include: - CFA/masters in finance / financial engineering - Understanding of Alteryx/Tableau - Expert understanding of Microsoft Office products As an AVP at Barclays, you will be expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness. You will also collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions, lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, and coach employees towards achieving those objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing risk, strengthening controls, and engaging in complex analysis to solve problems creatively and effectively.
