AVP Treasury Finance

Role Overview: As an Assistant Vice President in Treasury Finance at Barclays, your primary responsibility is to develop and implement the bank's financial plans and stress testing methodologies. You will be assessing the bank's resilience under various economic scenarios and managing the financial risks while ensuring capital adequacy. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement stress testing methodologies to identify vulnerabilities and inform risk mitigation strategies - Manage the bank's financial risks by implementing risk management strategies and communicating financial risks to stakeholders - Analyze the bank's capital position, assess regulatory capital requirements, and develop capital management strategies for optimal utilization - Orchestrate process cycles for Planning and Stress Testing FTC, project manage delivery of planning process and stress tests - Document requirements prescribed by the Regulator and Process/Data Owner - Track and report cycle progress via P&ST Steer Co, POC, Working Groups, and the workflow tool - Manage data, dataflows, and data quality from contributors from input through to report submission - Manage BAU systems to enable quick outcomes and iterative generation of Capital or Funding plans - Ensure ownership of the control environment, standards, conformance, and partnering with BIA for meeting controls and governance objectives Qualifications Required: - Qualified Chartered Accountant with preference for AVPs with 2 years of experience at the same grade - Strong communication skills (written and interpersonal) with the ability to distill complex issues for senior management - Strong understanding of Treasury function and products - Strong control focus to identify and escalate potential breakdowns and streamline processes efficiently - Strong organizational skills and a structured approach - Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems and resolve them - Confident and assertive with negotiation and constructive influencing abilities across teams and geographies Company Details: (if available) Barclays is committed to values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, guiding its moral compass.
