Job Purpose
- Business Finance responsible for monitoring and control of Consumer Business Group (CBG) financial performance & its initiatives. Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Planning and Strategy
Key Accountabilities
- Support all initiatives for eLVB unit of DBS bank for Consumer banking with specific focus on liability (deposits) and asset businesses (mortgages, personal loans, cards)
- Business Finance support to CBG and Digital Banking through advanced business modelling, analytics including market / competitors analysis
- Help in preparing annual budget, forecast and month flash
- Timely and accurate business performance reporting, challenge revenue and cost drivers, suggest remedial actions
- Track and monitor Branch, Sector, Segment, Channel and Product wise performance
- Drive productivity / change management initiatives
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Support CBG Business with Finance processes and controls – Design, recommendation and approval processes
- Single point of contact for all operating issues related to CBG Finance
- Evaluate all existing KPIs in Sales, Risks and Operations and recalibrate where necessary after benchmarking with Industry
- Preparation and commentary on Month-end performance reporting and dashboards
- Analytical review of all revenue streams and margin analysis by product and customer segment
- Preparation of budgets, Forecast and Flash for both CBG and Digital Banking initiative -with focus on the eLVB branches
- Support all ad-hoc business modelling and analytical review within CBG and Digital Banking
- Track, Monitor and suggest remedial action where necessary for Branch, Sector, customer Segment, Channel and Product wise performance for CBG and digital banking
- Coordinate all new Product launches within CBG and Banking space
- Participate in identified Initiatives within CBG and Digital Banking space – Strategic &/OR Tactical
- Drive all change management initiative with CBG and Digital Banking space including process automation to drive capacity modelling
- Deploy proper knowledge management process within CBG Finance by regular update of Departmental Operating Instructions and Create back up for all critical processes
- Deploy, monitor and review compliance with Group (HO) Policies and Procedures within CBG and Digital Banking Space
- Contribute to Group (HO) deliverables related to CBG and Digital Banking
- Participate in all Finance-Wide initiatives and activities
Requirements
- 2 - 5 years Post Qualification Experience in commercial banks preferably in retail / consumer banking space
- Have managed the Financial Planning and Analysis of Consumer Banking in his previous role preferably including preparation and review of budgets
- Conversant with RBI Regulations
- Conversant with Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS)
- Exposure in Regulatory reporting, taxation, accounting and dealing with auditors will be added advantage
Education / Preferred Qualifications
- CA and / or
- MBA Finance from Premier Institutions

- Solid exposure to Consumer Banking products (assets and liabilities) and processes
- Very Good understanding of macroeconomic drivers
- Very Good understanding of revenue and cost drivers of Consumer Banking business, ability to manage budgeting independently
- Good understanding of RBI regulations on Consumer Banking
- Good exposure in Digital Banking platform
- Very Good Business Modelling Skills
- Good knowledge of accounting systems and principles (revenue recognition in particular)

Technical Competencies
- Hands on exposure in ERP (preferably PSGL) and BI tools (Preferably Hyperion)
- Hands on exposure in Consumer Banking product life cycle from origination, design, launching, set up, testing, monitoring
- Hands on exposure to Non annuity revenue streams (Banca, Investments, Fx)
- Good exposure to operating and non-operating costs and allocation methodologies
- Exposure to hedging principles
- Very good communication and Influencing skills
- Ability to think out of the box
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint in specific)
- Market Intelligence

- Close partnership with CBG unit, Operations, RMG, Business Analytics
- Strong Working relationship with all units within Finance and All India Branch Network
