Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    Executive - CIL Billing & Revenue Management (Long Term) is responsible for supporting the calculation, submission, and reconciliation of Change in Law claims. The role assists in preparing documentation, maintaining MIS, and tracking payments in compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Change in Law (CIL) Claim Calculation & Submission: Assist in calculating claims related to Change in Law events as per the contractual obligations and regulatory guidelines. Support in compiling and submitting detailed CIL claims, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Change in Law Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all CIL-related claims, including contracts, regulatory communications, and financial data. Support in tracking all submissions, approvals, and updates to maintain a robust documentation process. Change in Law Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling CIL claims and payments with internal finance teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition. Provide support for audits and compliance checks by preparing necessary reconciliations of CIL claims and settlements. Coordination with Internal Teams: Actively support in coordinating with finance, legal, and commercial departments to ensure smooth execution and management of CIL billing and revenue processes. Reporting and MIS: Assist in preparing monthly reports and MIS for tracking CIL claims, revenue impact, and any pending claims to provide data for senior management decision-making. PRAAPTI Portal Management: Handle activities on the PRAAPTI portal, including updating invoices, rectifying comments from DISCOMs, and registering projects for invoicing compliance. Ensure timely updates and compliance with any notifications or changes on the PRAAPTI portal Key Stakeholders - Internal: Finance Teams Internal Audit Teams Project Managers Key Stakeholders - External: Regulatory Authorities Clients

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. Relevant certifications in billing or revenue management are preferred. Work Experience: 7 - 12 years of experience in billing and revenue management roles. Strong understanding of Change in Law regulations and billing processes. Proven experience in managing billing reconciliations and documentation.
