What You ll Do

Lead and develop a team of optimisation and filter tuning specialists, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Shape and deliver the screening optimisation and filter tuning strategy, ensuring alignment with the Group s risk appetite and regulatory obligations.

Engage and influence senior stakeholders across Economic Crime Prevention, Business Unit and Platform teams to drive effective decision-making.

Oversee and drive the performance and optimisation of sanctions screening filters, balancing detection effectiveness with operational efficiency.

Champion the use of data-driven insights to inform tuning decisions, leveraging both rule-based and machine learning models.

Stay ahead of regulatory developments (e.g., OFSI, OFAC, EU) and ensure tuning strategies remain compliant and forward-looking.

Collaborate with external vendors and internal technology teams to embed new capabilities and enhance system performance.

Represent the team in governance forums ensuring transparency and accountability.

What You ll Need

Proven experience in leading sanctions screening or compliance analytics teams within financial services.

Deep understanding of filter tuning methodologies, screening technologies and regulatory expectations.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bring to life complexity and influence at senior levels.

A strategic mindset with the ability to translate technical insights into business outcomes.

Experience working with industry-leading screening tools such as Fircosoft.
