Purpose/Objective


    Financial Controller-C&I is responsible for ensuring robust financial oversight and operational excellence by evaluating risk, enforcing accounting standards, and optimizing financial strategies. The role drives budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth while managing internal controls, enhancing cash flow, and leveraging financial systems to maximize profitability and deliver superior stakeholder value.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Financial Controller-C&I Strategic Financial Management & Control: Develop and implement financial management strategies that integrate budgeting, forecasting, and revenue modeling with corporate objectives to drive sustainable growth. Enhance financial stability through rigorous internal controls and performance monitoring systems, ensuring high accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Optimize resource allocation and cash flow by integrating comprehensive financial planning processes that support informed, data-driven decision-making. Financial Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes in bill discounting, LC discounting, overseas remittance, and forex management to reduce operational costs and improve liquidity. Increase operational agility by implementing advanced management information systems (e.g., M2M, DDR, DPR) to provide real-time financial insights and accurate reporting. Enhance cost efficiency through targeted initiatives that reduce interest expenses, GST processing costs, and inventory carrying costs, contributing to overall financial optimization. Business Risk Management: Mitigate risks by developing comprehensive risk management practices that evaluate financial exposures and safeguard organizational assets and reputation. Optimize annual budgeting and STRAP processes to enhance working capital management, ensuring efficient limit utilization and financial resilience. Implement robust credit control measures and effective hedge strategies for forex and commodity risks to manage business volatility and protect margins. Value Creation & Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maximize Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) and manage net cash flow to deliver superior value to shareholders and stakeholders. Optimize tax planning and manage income tax/transfer pricing assessments to reduce tax liabilities while ensuring regulatory compliance. Support financial arbitrations and legal financial reviews with strategic insights that reinforce market credibility and safeguard the organization’s interests. Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance: Enhance decision-making by establishing robust processes for the preparation of accurate, timely financial reports and performance dashboards. Strengthen regulatory adherence by continuously monitoring accounting standards and integrating updated best practices into financial operations. Facilitate transparency and accountability by ensuring all financial disclosures comply with statutory requirements and industry regulations. Process Improvement & System Integration: Drive operational excellence by integrating automation and digitization initiatives to streamline financial processes and reduce manual interventions. Enhance system integration by consolidating various financial data sources (e.g., M2M, DDR, DPR, forex, inventory) into a unified reporting framework. Improve overall financial performance by implementing continuous process improvement cycles that leverage technology and advanced analytics for better outcomes. Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CA. Work Experience (Range of years): 10-15 years of experience in financial management, corporate planning, and risk management, ideally within the energy, power transmission, or utility sectors.
