Assistant manager Purchase Job location: Lower Parel, Mumbai CTC upto: LPA Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of purchasing assistants, providing guidance and support. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide timely feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Procurement Planning and Execution: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions. Create and maintain accurate purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues promptly. Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery. Resolve supplier disputes and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory team to optimize stock levels and minimize inventory costs. Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overstocks. Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and excess inventory. Financial Management: Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. Prepare accurate reports on procurement activities and financial performance. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities. Implement effective controls to prevent fraud and corruption. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
