Job Description

As an Assistant Manager Purchase, you will play a crucial role in supporting the end-to-end procurement process to ensure the smooth operations of the gasket manufacturing unit. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying and evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance - Issuing purchase orders and ensuring on-time deliveries - Maintaining procurement records and supplier databases in ERP - Coordinating with production and planning teams for material requirements - Monitoring inventory levels to reduce overstock or shortages - Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and standards - Tracking and reporting key procurement metrics such as cost savings and lead times To excel in this role, you are required to meet the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain preferred - 4-6 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing setup - Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills - Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel - Knowledge of gasket raw materials, fasteners, and allied components is a plus.,
