Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tool Design Engineer to lead and execute tool design activities for aluminium casting and automotive proto components. The role involves conceptualizing, designing, validating, and optimizing tooling solutions using Creo to meet functional, cost, and timeline requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for guiding a small team and coordinating with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and R&D.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop 

  dies, moulds, and tools

   for aluminium casting and proto auto components using 

  Creo

  .
• Prepare and review 

  3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and GD&T documentation

  .
• Perform 

  feasibility studies, DFMEA, and tool validation

   in line with project requirements.
• Optimize tool design for 

  manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and durability

  .
• Collaborate with 

  manufacturing, machining, and quality teams

   for tool trials, validation, and approval.
• Provide 

  technical guidance

   to junior design engineers and technicians.
• Interact with customers for 

  requirement gathering, design reviews, and technical presentations

  .
• Support 

  proto development and new product introduction (NPI)

   projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tool-related issues during trials and production runs.
• Ensure 

  timely project delivery

   within budget and quality standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in 

  Creo (Pro-E)

   for 3D/2D tool design.
• In-depth knowledge of 

  aluminium casting processes.

• Hands-on experience with 

  automotive proto components and tool design validation

  .
• Good understanding of 

  tool steel, heat treatment, and machining processes

  .
• Knowledge of 

  GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering standards

  .
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong 

  project management and team-handling

   skills.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, or Relevant

• 8 to 12 years of experience

   in tool design for automotive / aluminium casting industry.
• Experience as 

  Assistant Manager / Manager level

   with exposure to team leadership preferred

UG:

B.Tech/B.E. in Automobile, Production/Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mechatronics, Mechatronics Engineering, Production Engineering

E-MOBILITY

• Jayem has developed in house expertise of building e-mobility system.

• Powertrain System:

   Critical to the performance of any EV is a thorough understanding of the drive cycle and its performance requirements. We have developed powertrain system including Li-Ion Battery cell integration of different chemistries and its health monitoring and management.

• Traction System:

   Traction control plays an important role in vehicle motion control because it can directly enhance drive efficiency, safety, and stability. Our traction system includes single speed very low noise high precision Transmission assembly, very efficient and powerful induction Motor and Motor controlling system with many advanced features.

• Power Electronics System:

   Power electronics is becoming more important in the performance and cost of an electric vehicle as conventional powertrains will become obsolete in the near future due to tougher regulations and the ongoing quest for performance improvement including better life and reliability. We have developed Charger, Charge Protection System, Fast Charging System etc.

• Electrical HVAC system:

   We have developed very efficient and effective electrical HVAC system which will improve the comforts of the occupants by rapid cooling and warming the cabin.

• Vehicle information and monitoring system:

   Our vehicle information and monitoring system consists of Vehicle Control unit and fully programmable LCD base Cluster, displaying the Vehicle information.

• Remote diagnosing and Connected Car system:

   GPRS based Telematics enable to connect the car with the Server for remote diagnosing and monitoring the vehicle status. Mobile App will also enable to understand the vehicle condition and control the vehicle.

Our E-mobility system has been developed in such a way that, it can be adopted very easily on to any conventional small and mid-size vehicles. The components and the systems are fully validated with bug free software.

We undertake the vehicle integration as per CMVR requirements.
