Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant General Manager Sales Marketing located in Nashik. The Assistant General Manager Sales Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth, managing customer satisfaction, and leading a team to achieve company goals. Daily tasks include developing and implementing sales plans, managing customer relationships, and ensuring top-tier customer service. The role also involves general management responsibilities and collaboration with other departments to align marketing strategies with company objectives. The role involves developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, expand market presence, build brand equity, and strengthen customer relationships. The GM will manage cross-functional teams, drive performance, and align commercial strategies with corporate goals to ensure business growth in the veterinary healthcare segment. ______________ Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Execution • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives. • Lead the go-to-market strategies for new veterinary pharmaceutical products. • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform business strategy. 2. Sales Management • Drive national or regional sales performance to meet or exceed revenue targets. • Establish sales targets by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas. • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales force; provide coaching and support. • Develop distribution and channel strategies for product reach and availability. 3. Marketing Leadership • Design and oversee integrated marketing campaigns (B2B, digital, on-ground). • Manage branding, advertising, and promotional activities specific to veterinary healthcare. • Develop marketing tools and scientific communication materials for the sales team and veterinarians. 4. Product Management • Oversee lifecycle management of key pharmaceutical and veterinary products. • Work with R&D and regulatory teams to ensure timely product launches and compliance. • Provide input on product pricing, positioning, and packaging strategies. 5. Business Development • Identify and develop new market opportunities and strategic partnerships. • Represent Organizations in key industry events, trade shows, and forums. • Negotiate with key clients, government bodies, and institutional buyers. 6. Team Management & Development • Lead, recruit, and train a high-performance sales and marketing team. • Establish KPIs and performance incentives aligned with company growth. • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and customer-centricity. 7. Reporting & Compliance • Report to senior management on KPIs, sales forecasts, market conditions, and strategy execution. • Ensure adherence to all pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines, ethics, and compliance standards. ______________ Key Skills & Competencies • Strong understanding of the veterinary pharmaceuticals market (India or international). • Proven experience in sales leadership and marketing strategy. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities. • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and modern digital marketing tools. ______________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences (required). • MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent (preferred). • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in sales & marketing in the pharmaceutical sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (preferably in animal health). Skills in Sales, General Management, and Team Management Expertise in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service Proven leadership abilities and the capability to motivate a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus Ability to work on-site in Solapur Show more Show less
