Assistant Brand Manager Marketing

Department: Marketing

Experience: - 4-6 years

Budget: - 6-8 LPA

Location: Xtep India – Bangalore

Reporting To: Cofounder


Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Marketing will lead Xtep India’s digital brand-building initiatives, driving brand awareness, engagement, and growth across all digital platforms. The role demands a strong understanding of digital trends, consumer behaviour, performance analytics, and brand strategy to strengthen Xtep’s positioning in the Indian market.

Key Skills & Competencies

1. Digital Brand Building

  • Deep understanding of brand positioning, digital storytelling, and consumer psychology.
  • Ability to translate brand values into impactful digital content and campaigns.

2. Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Experience managing Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Ability to plan content calendars, optimise engagement, and maintain brand tonality.

3. Content Creation & Creative Thinking

  • Strong sense of visual aesthetics, sports/lifestyle content trends, and creative direction.
  • Ability to brief designers, writers, and agencies effectively.

4. Performance Marketing Knowledge (Good to Have)

  • Understanding of meta ads, Google ads, creator performance metrics, CPL/CPA, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate with paid media agencies and read dashboards.

5. Influencer & Community Marketing

  • Experience identifying and working with influencers, creators, runners, athletes, and micro-communities.
  • Ability to drive advocacy and build long-term partnerships.

6. Digital Analytics & Reporting

  • Strong with data: reach, engagement, CTR, funnel metrics, ROI, audience insights.
  • Ability to turn insights into actions and growth strategies.

7. Project & Campaign Management

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and agency partners simultaneously.
  • High level of ownership and ability to execute end-to-end.

8. Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with Sales, Retail, Merchandising, E-commerce.
  • Ability to present strategy, reports, and campaign ideas clearly.

9. Sports Enthusiasm (Added Advantage)

  • Passion for sports, running, fitness, and athleisure culture.
  • Helps in authentic storytelling and understanding the consumer mindset.


Experience Requirements

1. Work Experience

  • 4–6 years

    in Digital Marketing, Social Media, Brand Management, or Content Strategy.
  • Experience in

    sportswear, retail, lifestyle, or D2C brands

    is strongly preferred.

2. Hands-on Campaign Experience

  • Should have independently managed digital campaigns: new product launches, seasonal campaigns, influencer activations.

3. Platform & Tool Knowledge

  • Familiarity with:
  • Meta Business Suite
  • Google Analytics
  • Social listening tools
  • CRM/email platforms (MailChimp, MoEngage etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of SEO/SEM is a plus

4. Agency & Vendor Management

  • Should have worked with creative agencies, digital agencies, and influencers.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
