Senior Sales Manager – Lighting Industry

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations and drive revenue growth within the lighting industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with strong leadership abilities, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams in the lighting or electrical solutions sector.

Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to capture new opportunities in the lighting market.
  • Contribute to company-wide sales strategy and policy development.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and build team capabilities.
  • Support ongoing training to improve sales effectiveness.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow relationships with key customers, distributors, lighting designers, electrical contractors, and partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and proactive support.

Product Knowledge & Promotion

  • Serve as a product expert, providing technical guidance on lighting solutions, applications, and specifications.
  • Support marketing initiatives and product promotion campaigns.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for clients.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Oversee the full sales cycle, from leads to order fulfillment.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and prepare accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and emerging trends in the lighting industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in the lighting or electrical solutions industry.
  • Proven success in leading and developing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of lighting products, technologies, applications, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
