Job Description

Position Description:

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations and strategies within a designated geographical area. This role involves managing a sales team, developing and implementing sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and a proven track record in sales management.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth within the assigned area.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement strategies for team development and motivation.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
  • Address customer queries and complaints promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Sales Operations:

  • Monitor sales activities, track performance metrics, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory levels, distribution, and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with marketing, finance, and other departments to support sales initiatives and promotional activities.

Market Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets within the designated area.
  • Develop and execute plans to penetrate new market segments and expand the customer base.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Skills&Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

·        Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the agriculture equipment sector.

·        Previous experience in Agrostar, Husqvarna, KisanKraft, IB Monotaro, RatnagiriImpex, Fortune Agro tech,

·        Strong leadership and team management skills.

·        Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.

·        Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office.

·        Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·        Willingness to travel within the assigned area as required.


Salary

CTC 2.4Lakhs – 4.8 Lakhs per Annum.
