The Role
Wood Mackenzie is building a team of Administrators in Gurugram to support our global workforce as part of our broader Administration function. The role holder will be responsible for direct line management of Administrators based in Gurugram. They will ensure the Administrators deliver high-quality, consistent support to the global business, and work effectively as part of the global function. Reporting to the Global Head of Admin, the Admin Manager is responsible for building and managing a high performing and highly engaged team.
Main Responsibilities
- Leading recruitment, onboarding and development of team members to build a high performing Administration team
- Managing daily operations with a client focused mindset, ensuring efficient, high- quality service delivery that adapts to evolving business needs
- Supervising and mentoring Administrators, delivering ongoing feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Providing oversight and strategic direction to ensure Administrators meet performance targets and align with organizational goals
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and providing effective solutions
- Build and maintain relations with stakeholders across the business
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics
- Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
- Recognise high performance and reward accomplishments
Knowledge, Experience And Skills
- Candidates should have proven experience (typically 5 years) in administrative, client services or office management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Prior experience in a corporate and/or international environment is highly desirable
- Serving as the primary contact for Administrators, the candidate should be a strong communicator with a proactive mindset, passionate about coaching team members and empowering their career development through guidance and support
- The candidate should be comfortable working in an intensive environment where tight deadlines are a regular occurrence and can easily adapt to change
- The candidate will need excellent organization and prioritisation skills to succeed in this position. Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential
- They should have experience with identifying and improving processes to ensure a strong administrative service is being provided to the business.
- Bonus: Experience with systems such as SAP Concur, Salesforce and AI tools.
