Accounts Assistant

Job Description: Accountant (ACCA/CA Graduate)Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Accountant with an ACCA/CA qualification (or pursuing/finalist) to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

This role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
• Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and adjustments.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure all accounting entries comply with standards (IFRS/GAAP).

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

• Process vendor bills, purchase orders, and payment requests.
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up for overdue payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts regularly.
• Assist in maintaining aging reports and cash flow schedules.

Banking & Reconciliation

• Perform bank reconciliations on a daily/weekly basis.
• Reconcile accounts such as petty cash, credit cards, and internal financial statements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Taxation & Compliance

• Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory returns (India-based taxation).
• Support the finance team in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in preparing management reports, budgeting documents, and variance analyses.
• Support cost analysis, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Provide data for decision-making to senior finance staff.

Internal Coordination & Documentation

• Work with internal departments for financial clarifications and approvals.
• Maintain organised records of all financial documents for easy retrieval.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary information.

Skills & Qualifications

• ACCA, CA, or CA Inter qualification (completed or finalist).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
• Strong command of MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Work Conditions
