Account Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Financial Management:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure efficient allocation of funds for ongoing operations.
• Prepare financial statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Vendor Management:

• Manage vendor onboarding, contracts, and agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor payments and address discrepancies or issues.
• Negotiate payment terms and ensure adherence to agreed timelines.
• Act as the primary liaison between vendors and internal teams, resolving queries promptly.

Compliance and Audits:

• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory returns.
• Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory standards.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in taxation laws and accounting standards relevant to eCommerce operations.

Operational Collaboration:

• Reconcile payment gateway transactions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing) to ensure seamless financial and operational alignment.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CA Inter/ICWA Inter preferred.

2–4 years in accounting, finance, or vendor management roles, preferably in eCommerce or technology sectors.

Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or Zoho Books.

Advanced MS Excel skills for financial modeling and reporting.

Familiarity with payment gateway reconciliations and vendor accounting.

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
