Role Overview

The Vendor Manager will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, onboarding, and managing external vendors for Punjabi Star Live’s events, productions, marketing activities, and operational needs. This role requires strong negotiation skills, relationship management, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.


Key Responsibilities


Vendor Relationship & Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors aligned with company requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews based on KPIs, SLAs, and feedback.

Procurement & Negotiation

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Compare vendor proposals, quotations, and service capabilities.
  • Optimize procurement costs while maintaining product and service quality.

Coordination & Operations

  • Work closely with internal teams such as Events, Marketing, Production, and Finance.
  • Ensure seamless delivery of services for shoots, events, promotions, and branding needs.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues proactively and ensure compliance with company standards.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Manage vendor agreements, contracts, and renewal processes.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and legal compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor performance, payments, and documentation.

Budget & Reporting

  • Track procurement expenses and ensure alignment with project budgets.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly vendor performance and cost reports.
  • Provide data-driven insights for vendor optimization and cost savings.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Media Management, or similar fields.
  • 4–6 years of proven experience in vendor or procurement management (media/event industry preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, vendor management tools, and documentation handling.
  • Strong relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills.
