Job Purpose
The Unit Head is ultimately accountable for the performance of the unit. The Unit Head is responsible for running the unit on a day-to-day basis, assuring provision, evaluation, and monitoring of quality services, and mentoring and training the staff.
Key Responsibility Area (KRA)
- Manage the distillery's workforce to meet production goals within budget.
- Take part in tender process and negotiations with various companies and ensure delivery as per schedule
- Review the bottlenecks which are coming on Critical paths and resolve the issue. Follow up with procurement department for timely and quality delivery of material, equipment
- Managing Overall Plant Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Environment, Logistics, Purchase & Finance Functions.
- Budgeting, Production, Process & Equipment Selection, Managing Top line & Bottom line, Erection & Commissioning,
- Plant Management, Maintenance & Cost Control.
- Leading Plant to achieve the Production & Sales Target as per AOP (Annual Operation Planning), Formulating & Implementing Strategies for Achieving Annual Business Goals for the Division.
- Managing Overall Operations of the unit Enhancing the Production Process Operations, Improving Productivity & Operational Efficiencies.
- Ensure that the production meets the required mandatory quality standards.
- Laying down SOP/Guidelines for Safety of Manpower & Machines as Per Standards Norms.
- Coordinating with Various Functions; Ensuring Optimum Utilization of the Resources & Implementing & Maintaining the Quality Management Systems.
- Ensuring complete in-Process Quality Control & Continuous improvement in Process Capabilities.
- Conducting Preventive Maintenance, Foreseeing Performance Bottlenecks & Taking Corrective Measures to avoid Breakdown.
- Vendor Identification/Development, Resource Management & Analytical Assessment to Strengthen Effectiveness.
- Responsible for all Compliances & Norms as Per Nepal Government - IRD Excise, environment and pollution board & Other Regulatory Bodies.
- Timely submission of various reports and Returns-Internally and external agencies
- Monitor costs during the production process and implement best practices to avoid loss in the production line. Cost reduction through innovation, redesigning processes and eliminating obsolete equipment’s / process
- Leading CapEx / OpEx & New Project Execution.
- Leading Teams towards the Achievement of Organizational Goals & industry Best Practices.
- Overseeing Industrial Relations, Manpower Optimization / Assist in Recruitment, Orientation & Coach, mentor and appraise the team under with complete transparency.
- Managing the Complete liasioning with Government Departments & ensuring the smooth functioning of the Plant.
- Supervise all aspects of this process including planning, sourcing raw materials, scheduling production runs, and managing the production line.
- Other task as advised by the Supervisor
Report:
Daily / Weekly and Monthly report.
Qualification:
BSC / MSC in Alcohol Technology or B. Tech – Chemical / Mechanical
Experience:
15 + Years of experience in the Alcohol or Beverage Industry
