Position: General Manager / Sr. General Manager / CEO / Unit Head / Business Head – Granite Mines
Experience: Minimum 15–20 years in Granite/Marble Mining & Production

Role Overview

The General Manager/Sr. GM/CEO/Unit Head/Business Head will be responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational excellence for the entire granite mining unit. This role requires strong managerial capabilities, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to lead multi-functional teams to achieve production, quality, safety, and business targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Strategy

· Lead, manage, and supervise all functional departments, including Mining, Production, Sales & Marketing, Purchasing, Accounts & Finance, Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, HR & Administration.

· Develop long-term business strategies to maximize productivity, profitability, and resource utilization.

· Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement across all processes.

2. Mining & Production Management

· Oversee planning and execution of mining operations as per statutory guidelines.

· Ensure optimum production output while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

· Monitor equipment utilization, maintenance schedules, extraction planning, and block yield optimization.

3. Sales, Marketing & Business Growth

· Drive sales strategy to meet revenue targets.

· Identify new markets, customers, and business opportunities.

· Ensure timely dispatch, logistics coordination, and customer satisfaction.

4. Procurement, Finance & Cost Control

· Manage procurement of machinery, tools, consumables, and services.

· Monitor budgets, financial performance, cash flow, and cost optimization.

· Ensure adherence to company financial policies and reporting standards.

5. Maintenance (Mechanical & Electrical)

· Ensure effective preventive and breakdown maintenance of mining machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.

· Improve machine uptime and reduce maintenance costs through planned maintenance programs.

6. Statutory Compliance & Safety

· Ensure compliance with DGMS, Mining Laws, Environmental standards, and local regulations.

· Implement and monitor safety protocols, risk management, and a zero-incident culture.

7. Team Management & Administration

· Build, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary teams across the unit.

· Oversee HR activities, including recruitment, training, attendance, and workforce discipline.

· Maintain strong coordination with government authorities, stakeholders, and local communities.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

· Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language (Odia preferred).

· Deep knowledge of granite/marble mining operations, machinery, production processes, and market trends.

· Ability to handle high-pressure situations, crisis management, and operational challenges.

· Strong analytical, financial, and people management skills.

· Strong understanding of safety norms and environmental compliance.

· High-level negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Profile

· 15–20 years of progressive experience in granite/marble mining and production management.

· Experience in leading large mining units or multi-department teams.

· Proven track record in operational excellence and business growth.

· Qualification: Any Graduate or equivalent.

· The candidate must be computer-savvy and well-versed in MIS and report analysis.

· Demonstrated capability in handling challenging operational situations with confidence and composure.

· Must possess a pleasant and professional personality, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
