About Us:

UniSouk is an evolving e-commerce enabler platform designed to empower Indian SMEs in the digital marketplace. It currently offers essential tools including payment gateway integrations, logistics management, and e-commerce platform connections. With ONDC integration and a unified user dashboard, UniSouk simplifies online business operations. The platform is actively developing additional features, including a no-code store builder, ERP and accounting integrations, and marketing tools. UniSouk aims to level the playing field for Indian SMEs, enabling them to establish, manage, and scale their e-commerce presence efficiently in today's competitive digital economy.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a UI/UX Lead to guide our design team, establish a strong design system, and drive the creation of intuitive and visually engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Figma and other design tools, a solid understanding of user-centered design, and strong leadership skills. You will work closely with the CTO, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure design excellence across all UniSouk platforms and lead the team toward delivering a world-class user experience.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

Lead and mentor a team of UI/UX designers, fostering creativity, growth, and ownership.

Define and maintain design standards, systems, and guidelines across products.

Oversee design workflows, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Design Execution:

Own and execute the end-to-end design process, from user research to high-fidelity mockups.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and pixel-perfect visual designs using tools like Figma, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

Develop user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns that align with user needs.

Conduct usability tests, analyze user feedback, and iterate on designs to enhance user experience.

Ensure all designs are accessible, mobile-friendly, and optimized for performance.

Collaboration & Strategy:

Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business goals into user-centered design solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to align design efforts with overall product vision and roadmap.

Present design concepts and strategies to leadership and other teams for feedback and alignment.

Contribute to strategic discussions around product direction, user experience priorities, and feature planning.

Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or senior design role.

Advanced proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and related design tools.

Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, interaction design, and visual design.

Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility, and mobile-first design.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions and strategies.

Experience designing for SaaS platforms or e-commerce products is a plus.

Bonus Skills:

Experience with A/B testing and data-informed design decisions.

Familiarity with design systems and component-based design.

Ability to create illustrations, icons, and brand visuals.

Exposure to motion design tools like Adobe After Effects or similar.
