Job Summary:
As a UI/UX Lead at Iron Mountain in Bengaluru, youll hold a pivotal and strategic position, directly shaping the user experience and interface design across our entire portfolio of digital products.
With over 8+ years of deep expertise in both UI and UX methodologies, youll be the driving force behind our design vision, strategy, and execution.
Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our products are not just functional, but truly intuitive, visually compelling, and profoundly user-centric.

Responsibilities:
- Candidate with 8+years of experience.
- Technical & Design Authority: Act as the primary technical and design authority for the team, ensuring high standards in both execution and strategic thinking.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development through guidance and constructive feedback.
- Complex Problem Solving: Lead the resolution of complex design challenges, driving innovative solutions for intricate user experience problems.
- Architectural Decision-Making: Make final architectural decisions on UX patterns and overall user experience architecture, ensuring scalability, consistency, and usability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Take the lead in presenting design work, rationale, and progress during sprint reviews and other key stakeholder meetings.
- User Research & Analysis: Conducting interviews, surveys, and usability tests to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Analyzing data to derive insights that inform design decisions.
- Information Architecture (IA) & User Flows: Structuring content and defining navigation to ensure logical and intuitive user journeys. Creating user flow diagrams to map out how users will interact with a product.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Developing low-fidelity wireframes to outline basic layouts and functionalities, and creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes to simulate the user experience for testing and stakeholder feedback.
- Visual Design (UI): Crafting the aesthetic appeal of a product, including defining color palettes, typography, iconography, and overall visual style. Ensuring pixel-perfect execution and brand consistency.
- Interaction Design: Designing the specific ways users interact with the products interface, focusing on responsiveness, animations, and micro-interactions to create engaging and delightful experiences.
- Usability Testing & Iteration: Planning and executing usability tests to identify areas for improvement in designs. Iterating on designs based on user feedback and analytical data to enhance usability and effectiveness.
- Design System Contribution: Collaborating on and contributing to the development and maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across all digital products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with product managers, developers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into design solutions and ensure seamless implementation.
- Design & Prototyping: Expert proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design, wireframing, and creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
- Front-End Fundamentals: Solid understanding of HTML/CSS for translating designs into functional web experiences and collaborating effectively with developers.
- Accessibility Standards : Strong knowledge and practical application of WCAG 2.1/2.2+ and other accessibility standards to ensure inclusive design solutions.
- Strategic Design & Vision Leadership : Ability to translate complex business objectives, market trends, and user research into a clear, actionable UI/UX vision and strategy for products . Deep understanding and passionate advocacy for UCD principles, ensuring all design decisions are rooted in user insights and needs.
- Design Systems & Technical Understanding : Proven experience in designing, building, maintaining, and scaling comprehensive design systems and component libraries (e.g., in Figma, Storybook). This includes defining design tokens, usage guidelines, and governance processes.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, mentor, inspire, and grow a team of UI/UX designers, fostering a collaborative, positive, and high-performing design culture.
- Cross-Functional Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate complex design concepts, rationale, and research findings clearly and persuasively to product managers, engineers, executives, and other stakeholders.
