Treasury Manager

The primary responsibility is to establish and manage the Treasury & Resource Management function for an emerging Non-Bank Financial Company (NBFC) based in GIFT City, with its Head Office in Singapore and subsidiaries in the UAE and Jaipur. This role will grow in stature and significance as the company aims to significantly expand its balance sheet over the coming years, driven by a unique business proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

• ALM and Cash ManagementMonitor asset-liability positions and recommend adjustments as required.
• Manage daily cash operations, including cash positioning, reporting, and forecasting.
• Ensure the availability of funds in operational accounts to meet daily disbursement needs.
• Oversee money market investments, liquidity management, and short-term funding strategies.
• Ensure optimal utilization of surplus funds.

Resource Raising

• Develop resource-raising strategies in collaboration with senior management.
• Introduce effective and innovative instruments for fundraising.
• Manage relationships with Banks, Financial Institutions (FIs), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), and Mutual Funds (MFs).
• Ensure cost-efficient sourcing of funds.
• Complete all documentation and legal formalities with funding institutions.
• Coordinate with credit rating agencies for obtaining and maintaining credit ratings to support fundraising efforts.

Investment Management

• Define investment strategies in consultation with senior management, the Investment Committee, and ALCO members.
• Recommend changes to the investment portfolio to maximize returns within acceptable risk parameters.
• Monitor investment portfolios and ensure compliance with investment limits.
• Ensure efficient deployment of funds.

Foreign Exchange Management

• Monitor forex positions and forward contracts related to Treasury and Operations.
• Track forex market trends and provide strategic insights.
• Supervise operations of Nostro accounts.
• Review and manage foreign exchange risk strategies, including hedging and currency risk mitigation.

Treasury Function Overview

• Optimize Net Interest Margins (NIMs) and spreads across business lines.
• Establish, review, and enhance Treasury policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide inputs to senior management on all treasury-related matters.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Oversee MIS for Treasury activities.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing.
• Participate in strategic business planning and budgeting processes to align treasury objectives with company goals.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold high standards of governance.
• Provide training and support to team members on Treasury-related matters.

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities.
• Liaise with Banks, FIs, AIFs, MFs, shareholders, rating agencies, regulators, and auditors.
• Support regular internal and third-party audits.
• Assist with compliance and governance matters.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings.
• Join lender calls as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates with 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in the Treasury function of a Bank or NBFC will be preferred.
• Academic Qualifications: Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Financial Management or a related field.
