What would you do?

You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data/reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions. Trade capture in middle office systems, allocation, transaction reporting & lifecycle management in middle office for derivative products.

What are we looking for?

End to End understanding of hedging related activities performed for assigned Client Lead monthly book closure discussions with clients and resolve open issues. Assist in the preparation and review of hedge accounting entries, including derivatives and hedging instruments. Monitor hedge effectiveness testing and document results in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Reconcile hedge-related accounts and ensure an accurate recording of gains, losses, and fair value adjustments Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes related to hedge accounting. Maintain detailed documentation of hedge relationships, risk management strategies, and effectiveness assessments Good communication and stakeholder mgmt skills Team Handling Skills Support SOX audits and governance reporting requirements. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred). Ability to drive transformation, process improvements, and automation initiatives. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 9, US GAAP) and regulatory requirements Collaborate with the treasury, risk management, and audit teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements

  • In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of moderately complex problems
  • Typically creates new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
  • The person requires understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or team leads
  • Generally interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture
  • The person should require minimal guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams
  • Individual would manage medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
  • Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts
  • Assist in preparing disclosures related to hedge accounting for financial statements Monitor changes in accounting standards related to hedge accounting and implement necessary updates Support internal controls and process improvements in hedge accounting activities Continuously review and improve hedge accounting processes and controls Ensure process controls are in place; Maintain, validate and update process documentations as applicable to ensure compliance with Customer and Accenture documentation requirements. Perform “Root Cause Analysis” on issues faces and suggest appropriate corrective action for current remediation and future control Must be able to propose process improvement ideas which can reduce time, improved accuracy or enhance controls Understand the Risk associated with the process and the respective mitigation plan for each risk identified; Foresees and identify risks in advance using prior payroll experience to mitigate risk before failure; highlight risks to supervisors that can not be mitigated Ensure the process dashboards and visual management displays are reviewed on an ongoing basis and up-to-date Proven experience in hedge accounting Understanding of hedge accounting standards (IFRS 9, US GAAP, etc.) Familiarity with financial instruments, derivatives, and risk management concepts
