This role is critical in ensuring product reliability, safety, and compliance across the product lifecycle—from prototype through mass production. What You Will Do: Battery Testing & Validation: Plan, execute, and document testing of battery systems (e.g., 45Ah, 105Ah LFP packs) under various electrical and environmental conditions. Develop and maintain test protocols aligned with industry standards and internal quality requirements. Analyze test data to identify defects, performance deviations, or failure trends. Inspect testing systems and machinery, ensuring calibration and reliability. Review test specifications and collaborate on design improvements based on findings. Manage and supervise validation teams and ensure proper adherence to policies and regulations. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to align testing results with design expectations. Work closely with procurement and quality teams to validate component performance and compliance. Collect feedback from field/service teams to improve test coverage and product quality. Supplier Quality & Inspection: Conduct inspection of supplier systems and equipment during initial qualification and ongoing audits. Review technical documentation from vendors and ensure adherence to compliance, quality, and safety standards. Process Improvement: Identify areas for test process optimization and introduce corrective actions for better performance or reduced cycle time. Support continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives related to battery testing and validation. Data Management & Reporting: Maintain organized documentation of all test results, observations, and corrective actions. Generate regular test summary reports for internal stakeholders and ensure traceability. What You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. 5–8 years of hands-on experience in battery testing, validation, or product quality in EV or energy storage sectors. Solid understanding of lithium-ion chemistry, testing equipment, and safety standards. Exposure to IoT-based testing or real-time data logging systems & testing power electronics like BMS or chargers. Familiarity with tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or battery test management systems. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Why Battery Smart? Impactful Work: Directly contribute to shaping the company’s future. Career Development: Accelerate your career in a high-growth environment. Ownership & Flexibility: Own key initiatives and drive change. 5-day working week and a supportive environment.
