A Typical Day In Your Role
- Oversee and guide QA team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery with maximum team utilization across sprints.
- Drive excellence in both “manual and automation testing”, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Establish and execute comprehensive testing strategies (functional, non-functional, Integration and regression) ensuring minimal defects and slippage.
- Drive the automation strategy to improve coverage, stability, and maintainability, while proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and testing processes.
- Lead test planning, estimation, and execution in all testing phases/environments from requirement gathering till Live release with a focus on reducing test effort variance and improving test cycle predictability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address testing needs, raise and resolve dependencies, and track risks to closure.
- Support in Hiring, onboarding, mentoring and coaching QA team members, ensuring skill development through training, assessments, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure effective defect triage and management, with a focus on reducing defect slippage to production and maintaining high-quality testing outcomes.
- Drive improvements in test processes, encourage innovation through workshops and hackathons, and implement new tools and frameworks to solve ongoing challenges.
- QA representative in all Agile and Safe events, ensuring alignment with Agile release criteria and meeting team objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Foster a collaborative, outcome-focused culture, maintaining high team morale, promoting a "One Team" mindset, and supporting team engagement activities.
Essential Qualifications
- 10+ years of QA Engineering and QA automation experience
- 2+ years of experience in leading software testing teams, establishing and executing comprehensive manual and automation strategies
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with test automation and BDD
- Proficient in atleast 1 programming language (Ideally c#)
- Expertise Fullstack Web Application Testing – Backend/API testing and System Integration Testing
- Proficient in different .net frameworks and Microservices architecture
- Proficient in database querying using SQL Server.
- 2+ Years working in DevOps and Agile environment
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate in Computer Science or equivalent
Nice To Have
- Prior experience with Azure and AWS
- Exposure to the caontainerized deployment model
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-domain environment and drive discussions with various leaders across the company
