Job Description

Responsibility:

Test Strategy & Planning

Define enterprise-wide testing strategies aligned with business and technical goals.
Establish testing standards, processes, and best practices for functional, non-functional, and exploratory testing.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering leads to ensure test strategies are integrated into solution designs.

Test Framework & Tooling:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
Evaluate, select, and implement testing tools and technologies based on project requirements (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, JMeter, Postman).
Introduce model-based testing, BDD/TDD frameworks, and AI-driven testing tools where appropriate.

Quality Governance:

Define quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to measure testing effectiveness.
Conduct periodic quality audits to ensure adherence to QA processes.
Maintain test documentation standards across all teams.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Mentor QA leads, SDETs, and testers in technical and process improvements.
Partner with DevOps to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions on emerging testing trends and tools.

Specialized Testing:

Oversee performance, security, and accessibility testing strategies.
Support testing for microservices, cloud-native applications, and APIs.
Ensure test coverage for data migration, integration, and end-to-end workflows.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with industry trends, new tools, and emerging test methodologies.
Identify opportunities for test optimization and reduce overall release cycle times.
Drive shift-left and shift-right testing approaches for faster feedback and improved production monitoring.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Experience: 10–15 years in software testing/QA, with at least 4–5 years in a Test Architect or equivalent role.

Technical Skills:

Strong coding skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Expertise in test automation frameworks.
Hands-on with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
API testing (Postman, Rest-Assured, SoapUI).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools
Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Testing practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
