Responsibilities: Validate integrations between internal applications and third-party components, APIs, tools, or external systems Design, develop, and execute integration test cases, scenarios, and data flows Perform API testing, service-level testing, and multi-system workflow validation Verify data transformations, request/response flows, mapping, contracts, and message formats Identify integration gaps, defects, and interface discrepancies Validate authentication, session handling, error handling, retries, timeouts, and failovers Work closely with developers, architects, and third-party vendors during issue resolution Create and maintain integration test documentation (test cases, matrices, results) Support CI/CD integration testing and environment readiness Participate in end-to-end system testing across distributed architectures Conduct log analysis (API logs, system logs, integration middleware logs) to troubleshoot issues Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field ISTQB or API Testing certification is a plus Integration Testing Strong understanding of system-to-system integrations, APIs, middleware, and message brokers Practical experience with REST / SOAP APIs, JSON, XML Experience with API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, ReadyAPI System & Data Validation Understanding of data mapping, transformation, and schema validation Ability to test asynchronous communication, callbacks, events, queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ – good to have) Environment & Tools Knowledge of SQL for backend validation Basic networking concepts (DNS, SSL, certificates, firewalls) Experience analyzing logs using tools like Kibana, Splunk, ELK (nice to have) Automation (Good to Have) Experience with integration test automation using: Postman scripts / Newman RestSharp (C#), REST Assured (Java), or similar CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Role Description: 1. Tax Operations & Analysis Perform detailed tax analysis, tax calculations, reconciliations, and reporting for direct and indirect taxes. Support statutory reporting, compliance, monthly/quarterly tax closures, and return filings. Identify inaccuracies, data gaps, and process inefficiencies in current tax workflows. Provide insights on tax positions, risk exposure, and operational improvement opportunities. 2. Process Transformation & Optimization Lead end-to-end transformation of tax processes to improve accuracy, speed, and compliance. Conduct process mapping (AS-IS / TO-BE), gap analysis, and lean process design. Streamline tax workflows across data extraction, validation, reporting, and documentation. Collaborate with tax, finance, and shared services teams to redesign cross-functional tax processes. 3. RPA / Automation Design & Implementation Identify process automation opportunities in tax operations such as: Data gathering, cleansing, consolidation Tax calculations & adjustments Tax reports generation Compliance tracking Audit documentation & validations Work with RPA teams (UiPath / Automation Anywhere / Power Automate / Blue Prism) to create automation-ready documentation (PDDs/BRDs). Validate automation feasibility and ensure high-quality automation design aligned with tax rules and policies. Test and sign off automations for accuracy, compliance, and operational performance. 4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration Partner with Tax Managers, Finance Leaders, RPA Developers, and IT teams to drive transformation initiatives. Act as the tax subject matter expert (SME) during automation design and implementation phases. Provide training, documentation, and guidance to end-users for automated workflows. 5. Data Governance & Compliance Ensure all automated processes comply with tax regulations, audit standards, and internal controls. Maintain high-quality documentation for tax processes, automation logic, and compliance requirements. Support internal and external audits, including providing automated data outputs and exception reports. Qualifications 510 years of experience in tax operations, tax compliance, or tax analytics. Strong understanding of: Direct taxes / Indirect taxes GST/VAT/Sales Tax Corporate taxation & regulatory rules Tax provisioning & reporting Global tax compliance (preferred) Digital Transformation & RPA Skills Experience in tax process automation or finance transformation projects. Hands-on exposure to RPA-driven process improvements (any platform such as UiPath, A360, Power Automate, Blue Prism). Proficiency in: Process mapping (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro) Lean/Six Sigma methodologies Creating PDD/SDD/test cases for automation Working with structured/unstructured tax datasets Technical Skills (Good to Have) SQL/Excel advanced functions for data analysis. Basic understanding of APIs, workflow tools, macros, or scripting. Experience with ERP and tax systems: SAP, Oracle, Thomson Reuters, Vertex, or similar.
