Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform end-to-end manual testing of web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to understand requirements and ensure product quality.
  • Define and maintain QA best practices, processes, and documentation standards.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and release planning sessions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective/preventive actions.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers; provide technical leadership in manual testing practices.
  • Collaborate with automation and performance QA teams to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Provide regular quality metrics, dashboards, and risk assessments to leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Manual QA, including 2–3 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficient in test design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, etc.).
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cypress) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) preferred.
