Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the manual testing team and oversee all QA activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Ensure complete test coverage based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and clarify expected behavior.
  • Perform impact analysis for new features and changes.
  • Participate in review meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile environments.
  • Provide regular testing status updates and ensure timely defect resolution.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA team members to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Continuously enhance QA processes and suggest improvements to ensure higher product quality.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in

    manual testing

    , with at least 2 years in a

    lead role.

  • Strong understanding of

    SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

  • Expertise in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Exposure to

    API testing, database validation, and cross-browser/device testing.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
